We loved adventuring to the Imperial Sand Dunes to capture Lindsey and Donnie's engagement session. Since it was a busy holiday weekend we had to hike a bit to find our perfect spot, but hey...that's what we are all about! Love and adventure is kind of our thing. Read about Lindsey and Donnie's love story in Lindsey's own words:
Donnie and I met in Las Vegas, Nevada in January 2019 at the Mandalay Bay. I was sitting at the slot machines with my girlfriends and hearing that southern accent nearby literally changed my life. We introduced ourselves and that’s all she wrote. Donnie and his buddy ended up going to watch a live band with us for the evening. Y’all, I got this handsome, Southern man to dance with me. This was a HUGE deal…. I didn’t really know at the time, but he had never danced with a woman in his life. We laughed, took selfies, shared stories of our lives, shared goals, and spent the entire night chatting until the wee hours of the morning. We exchanged numbers and continued to talk every single day on FaceTime for hours. He was living in Georgia, I in Arizona. Talk about long distance!! That was January. We missed each other so much. Within two weeks Donnie sent me money to fly to Georgia to meet his friends and family and get to know him better and have an official first date. Georgia was incredible, his family was so welcoming and our first date at BoJangles was a treat. I finally tried real southern chicken, dirty rice & a biscuit. I would say that we immediately fell in love.
with each other…. Well, and the food. We miss BoJangles so much!!! Fast forward to April 2019. Donnie moved across the country to be with me. It was turning out to be the ultimate love story!! In October 2019, I found out I was pregnant. We were stoked! I delivered Amelia Holland Lane at 34 weeks in the height of a pandemic. I fell in love with Donnie all over again. He not only was an amazing father, he took care of my every need after an emergency cesarean, tended to the house, and showed me what a real man was. We are the real “peas & carrots!” We will be wed this year on 12/31/2022 in the Superstition Mountains. To this day we have never fought, never raised our voices, & I even asked him, “You know how couples have ups and downs? What’s our down?” We couldn’t come up with anything. We are a team, we are best friends, we rely on each other, we respect each other, and we get er done. Our love story is like a Hallmark movie; quick & to the point, but the love & respect is so real and evident. He is my he and I’m his she. Forever. God outdid himself with us. All glory to Him!!
We can't wait to hang out with these two lovebirds again on NYE 2022 for their wedding at Superstition Manor!
