Amazing husband and wife team, they truly love what they do and do what they love! Our pictures turned out beautifully and we are really happy with all of our sessions: engagement, wedding and destination shoot after the wedding (called the wild romance). I highly recommend their biggest package that includes all of that and a wedding album and canvas print. Carla and Michael were truly wonderful to work with. We first met them while looking for a photographer for our engagement pictures. We settled on a location just outside of Phoenix and Carla was amazing to work with and the photos came out fantastic. There was a sneak peak available that evening and the full set of photos was available so quickly! We decided that we wanted to have them photograph our wedding, but were planning to get married in Scotland and were unsure how that would work. They were both wonderful and jumped on board with the idea and even agreed to an additional photo shoot a couple of days after the wedding (which means we have so many wonderful pictures)! We had back and forth communication and meetings to clarify details and generally just had a really easy and enjoyable time planning the photography portion of our wedding with the both of them. On the day they were nothing but exceptional and many of our bridal party have also noted how easy they were to work with. Our photos have turned out so well, and we are so pleased and overjoyed to have such great memories captured for us to enjoy for the rest of our lives together. For our wedding night we put a lot of thought and energy into insuring it was proper and magical. We had 189 guests and spent a great deal monetarily. With that said the groom and I very much feared the pictures and the time it would keep us from “our celebration”. Carla and her husband we absolutely spectacular in expeditiously catering to our needs as we did not do a first look. Everyone knew where to be and all the family shots were impeccable. The process was so easy and took about 45 minutes. We got the video and all the shots in around 3 weeks which is ultra fast based on what I have heard from friends. We received plenty of compliments on our “wedding crew” and highly recommend using the husband and wife team Carla has to offer. They not only met with us twice prior individually but also made sure every shot we wanted was accomplished. Thank you Carla!!!!

My fiancee wasn't keen on taking engagement pictures at all, but then we met Carla at a local bridal show and everything changed. Our engagement shoot was stunning, easy, and cost effective. Carla and Marcella (her daughter) went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and our chemistry made the time fly by. At the end, and very shortly afterwards we were provided with photos that were high quality and we used in our home as decoration and in our wedding invitations. After we set our destination to Scotland for our wedding, we were worried about finding a photographer who had the same professionalism and chemistry as we did with Carmichael Studios. Carla, Michael, and Marcella didn't let distance stand in the way. We have hundreds of photos and we simply can not choose our favorites from the wedding and reception. Every photogenic moment from start to finish was captured. Not just the scenery or the people, but the story and feeling behind it all as well. They caught all the details, from flowers and decorations to candid shots that are every bit as wonderful as the group pictures we had decided on ahead of time. They knew where to be, and were present and intimate without being intrusive.

We loved the creativity that we saw during a friend's wedding photoshoot; and once the photos were printed, we were even more impressed with the quality of their work. Four to six months later we approached Carmichael Studios to photograph our engagement session. We met them at the Desert Botanical Gardens in the late afternoon/evening. We hired Carmichael Studios for our elopement ceremony at the Boulders. We live in northern MN so had to do most of our communication via email. Carla and Michael were so easy to work with and even though we only had them for an hour-we were thrilled with the number of photos we received. We love every one of them- they do amazing work. Perfect Wedding Photography

We were so happy to find Carmichael Studios at a local bridal show in Scottsdale. We first worked with them when we did our engagement photos shoot (which we were lucky enough to win after speaking to them at the bridal show). They love to travel for their photoshoots so we picked beautiful Sedona for our engagement session and the pictures turned out so amazing with the beautiful red rocks contrasting with our royal blue outfits (our wedding color). We decided to hire them for our wedding after seeing how amazing our pictures turned out and I am so happy that we did. Our wedding photos are so amazing and I'm so glad that they were able to capture our perfect day in photography. They are extremely versatile and were more than willing to do any shots we had picked. We were a pretty easy going couple as far as our vision for the wedding day and let them call the shots for the most part and our pictures turned out beautiful. They were able to capture all the traditional wedding photos of friends and family as well as candids of our guests at dinner and on the dance floor. They were just really great to work with and delivered high quality photographs. They are also really great at directing the wedding party and family to get the shots you want (and possibly some shots you didn't know you wanted!) We are absolutely going to hire them again for future photography needs.
